Champion of Champions (Singles) kicked off 18–20 July at New Lynn & Royal Oak. The national finals are in full swing as club champions from across the country compete.

Selected Player Highlights
Debbie White (Hinuera BC) reached a career-high world ranking of #47 in June 2025. She’s also secured multiple national singles and fours titles
Aiden Takarua (Waihopai BC) continues to be a top national talent, with a world ranking high of #8 in Dec 2024 and growing international success
Jamie Hill (Avondale/Mount Albert BC) also remains prominent—he recently captured a second national pairs title in 2025

Bowls Auckland has been bustling with activity:
Appointment of Paul MacKinnon as the new Performance Lead, bringing experience from rugby, cricket, and hockey high-performance systems
Progress in key initiatives:
“Club is the Hub” ongoing community-strengthening programme (2nd year)

Bowls New Zealand’s YouTube channel continues posting event coverage—most recently the Summerset Bowls3Five Interclub and National Intercentre finals in March
